Pohon Tarbantin (Terebinth Tree)

Abram berjalan melalui negeri itu sampai ke suatu tempat dekat Sikhem, yakni pohon tarbantin di More. Waktu itu orang Kanaan diam di negeri itu. Ketika itu TUHAN menampakkan diri kepada Abram dan berfirman: "Aku akan memberikan negeri ini kepada keturunanmu." Maka didirikannya di situ mezbah bagi TUHAN yang telah menampakkan diri kepadanya.

Abram passed through the land to the place of Shechem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites [were] then in the land. Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your descendants I will give this land." And there he built an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

Peristiwa di atas menggambarkan pertemuan Tuhan dengan manusia (diwakili oleh Abram) di pohon tarbantin. Apakah pohon tarbantin ini sendiri?

Ada enam kata dalam Ibrani dalam mengambarkan pohon Tarbantin: "El", "Elah", "Elon", "Elan", "Allah", dan "Allon"
There are six Hebrew words rendered Terebinth tree: "El", "Elah", "Elon", "Elan", "Allah", and "Allon"

Dalam beberapa uraian ilmiah, pohon tarbantin dapat digambarkan sebagai berikut:
In scientific world, terebinth tree are explained as:

- dapat hidup di pasir, tanah liat dan lumpur
- grow in sand, clay and mud
- memiliki akar yang dalam menembus dan bercabang.
- develops a very deep and extensive root system
- pohon yang kuat, besar dan rimbun, sering kali dipakai untuk tanda jalan (Jalan)
- strong, big and shade tree, as landmark (Way)
- berumur panjang sampai ribuan tahun (Hidup)
- long age to thousand years (Life)
- selalu tumbuh walaupun sudah ditebang (Hidup)
- always grow even cut down (Life)
- bebas dari penyakit dan binatang peliharaan (Kebenaran)
- disease free and not pet (Truth)
- dalam sejarah, damar pohon dicampur dengan lemak binatang menjadi balsam kuno
- in history, the turpentine can be mixed with animal fat as primitive chest rub for nasal
- buahnya dapat diambil sarinya untuk menjadi bir putih.
- the juice fruit is making wine.

Yesaya 61:3 menyebut pohon Tarbantin adalah pohon kebenaran atau pohon Tuhan.
Isiah 61:3 said Terebinth tree is the truth tree or God's tree.

Kalau diperhatikan beberapa sifat dari pohon Tarbantin di atas maka kita bisa melihat persamaan pohon Tarbantin dengan Yesus sendiri. Yesus adalah Jalan, Kebenaran dan Hidup. Yesus adalah penghubung antara Tuhan dan manusia. Tidak seorang pun sampai kepada Bapa jika tidak melalui Yesus.
From the attributes of Terebinth tree we will see the comparison between Terebinth tree with Jesus himself. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus is the connection between God and human. No one go to Father without Jesus.

Daud mengalahkan Goliat dalam pertarungan di Lembah Tarbantin, Daud tahu bahwa Tuhan menyertainya. Hanya Daud yang melihat pernyertaan Tuhan melalui banyaknya pohon Tarbantin di Lembah Tarbantin.
David won over Goliath in the fought at Valley of Elah, David knew that God with him. Only David saw that God with him thru a lot of Terebinth trees at Valley of Elah.

Apakah anda ingin bertemu dengan Tuhan? Seperti Abraham senang berteduh di bawah pohon Tarbantin, maka carilah pohon Tarbantin tersebut, yaitu Yesus!

Do you want to see God? Like Abraham loves to stay under the Terebinth tree, go look for Terebinth tree, which is Jesus!

Perayaan malam tutup tahun 2006 di gereja IBC sungguh luar biasa. Pemimpin pujian dan singer, para pemain musik, Jeffrey Tjandra juga sebagai pemimpin lagu penyembahan, pesan yang disampaikan oleh Pdt. David Ferry Tasik, dan lawatan Roh Kudus membawa hadirin menikmati suasana surgawi.
Celebration end of year 2006 at IBC church was wonderfull. The song leader and singers, music players, Jeffrey Tjandra as the leader of worship song, message by Pst. David Ferry Tasik, and Holy Spirit presence were bringing the audience enjoying the heavenly moment.

Salah satu hadirin yang mendapatkan jamahan Roh Kudus adalah Bpk. Johan, beliau dijamah sampai dua kali bahkan beberapa menit saat Firman Tuhan baru disampaikan, Roh Kudus masih menjamah beliau, seluruh badannya bergemetar.
One of the attendees who get a touch of the Holy Spirit is Mr. Johan, he was touched up to two times, even when the Word of God is preached, the Holy Spirit was touching him, his whole body trembling.
